040 Clifford Myers: Christian/Comedian

8/22/2017

Comments

Picture
What's the difference between a Christian Comedian and a Christian who is a comedian? Newly minted Editor-in-Chief Kevin Seguin caught up with comic Clifford Myers in this week's episode of Bold Cup of Coffee's The Brew podcast to find out.

Clifford Myers moved to Hamilton, Ontario in 2008 after studying theology at Heritage College & Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario and film production studies at the Toronto Film School. He proceeded to expand his interests by transitioning  into stand-up comedy where he quickly developed a name for himself as a talented upcoming performer. With his strong crowd-work and storytelling ability, Clifford is best known for delivering a “different show, every show.” In 2014, he was awarded Best Emerging Artist for Performance at the Hamilton Arts Awards.

Passionate about community connectivity and personal growth, the decision to work out of Hamilton was a natural fit. With encouragement from his friends and family, Clifford committed to self-employment full-time in 2017 where he sought after a holistic approach to business, combining his interests in live-performance, community-involvement, personal & professional mentorship and content production.

In this episode, Kevin and Clifford talk about everything from Clifford's decision to pursue secular comedy as an occupation, to funny stories about his wife, to the impact he gets to have on the lives of those around him and in his audience.

Lots of thoughtful discussion and even some laughs to go around in this episode of The Brew.
